Duties:
Understand the business requirements based on Functional specification to design the
ETL solution in technical specifications. Analyze the requirements and frame the business logic for the ETL process. Install and upgrade Informatica Powercenter tool on desktops and the application server. Design and develop Informatica Mappings, Sessions and Workflows based on business user requirements and business rules to load data from source flat files or oracle tables to target tables. Develop ETL programs using Informatica Powercenter tool and SQL programming to load into staging tables and then to Dimensions and Facts. Use Session parameters, Mapping variable/parameters and create Parameter files for imparting flexible runs of workflows based on changing variable values. Use PMCMD command to automate the Power Center sessions and workflows through UNIX. Monitor sessions using the workflow monitor, which are scheduled, running, completed or failed. Debug mappings for failed sessions. Design and develop Informatica ETL mappings to extract data from heterogeneous data sources viz., Flat files, XML files, Oracle and load into the Oracle relational database. Support existing ETL solutions and perform any enhancements required as per new business requirements. Review ETL code developed by other developers and suggest required corrections/changes. Tune Informatica mappings and sessions for optimum performance. Use the Process Control Tables (tables to maintain the status of all the jobs) to drive the batch loads. Develop unit test cases to test the developed ETL code.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (any) and 2 years of experience in the job, 2 years as an Assistant Consultant or I.T. Analyst, any suitable combination of education, training and work experience.
